In the Year of Science 2018 the "MS Wissenschaft", an old fright ship, tours with the exhibition "Working world of tomorrow" through 34 cities in Germany from May until October. From 6th to 9th September it landed at the König-Karls-Brücke in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt. The swimming science center has various scientific exhibits on board, that invite to experiment and testing. The exhibition was launched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

On board is also the exhibit "Pictures of the Future" of the Transregio-Collaborative Research Center 161 of the Universities of Stuttgart and Konstanz. The touch table informs about the current basic research in Visual Computing at the University of Stuttgart and shows its influence on the future working worlds. Visitors can easily try, how the digital techniques are changing our working world and which new professions will be necessary for the future. Prof. Christian Holm, the speaker of the SFB 716, gives also answers to these questions in the particle simulations. In a recording he explains, how, for example, medicine will change with the help of computer simulations.
