Collaboration with Intel® extended

Since 2017 the Visualization Research Center of the University of Stuttgart is a Parallel Computing Center funded by Intel® (Intel® PCC) – and the first in Europe that focusses especially on visualization. A network of worldwide partners from scientific institutes and numberous industries collaborate to enlarge the parallelization and scalability of applications in technical computing.

The VISUS is one of a few research centers, which are specialized in applications for visualization for massive parallel CPU-based systems. This project at the University of Stuttgart will be funded for one more year through the success of Dr. Guido Reina and his team by enhancing the scalability of the framework "MegaMol", which is used for the visualization of molecular big data.
