Talk Abstract:
iReal is a research group in data visualization and user interface design at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology (TEC). Working with local data we make visualizations about health, vulcanic activity, earthquakes, traffic, etc. I will present some visualizations and interfaces that my group has created with these data.
Speaker’s Bio:
Prof. Dr. Franklin Hernández-Castro is senior professor and researcher at Costa Rica Institute
of Technology, and guest professor at Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany.
His major field is UX, UI, interface usability, interactive infographics and mixed reality
and his minor is computer science.
