Two Honorable Mention Awards at ETVIS 2025

VIS(US) researchers successful at ETRA 2025 workshop

The 9th Workshop on Eye Tracking and Visualization (ETVIS 2025) took place on May 25, 2025 in conjunction with ETRA 2025. Two papers co-authored by VIS(US) researchers won an Honorable Mention Award at the workshop:

“Uncertainty-Aware Scarf Plots” investigates how analysts can be made aware of the inaccuracies in gaze data and automated detection of areas of interest. Authors: Nelusa Pathmanathan, Seyda Öney, Maurice Koch, Daniel Weiskopf, Kuno Kurzhals

“Group Gaze-Sharing with Projection Displays” introduces a new technique to communicate gaze between groups in tabletop workshop scenarios. Authors: Maurice Koch, Tobias Rau, Vladimir Mikheev, Seyda Öney, Michael Becher, Xiangyu Wang, Nelusa Pathmanathan, Patrick Gralka, Daniel Weiskopf, Kuno Kurzhals

About ETVIS 2025

Examining the intersection of eye tracking research with visualization, ETVIS 2025 invited contributions that relate to eye tracking studies of visualizations as well as visualization techniques for eye tracking. The workshop took place in conjunction with ETRA 2025 in Tokyo, Japan and was co-organized by VIS(US) researchers Kuno Kurzhals, Daniel Weiskopf, Yao Wang, Patrick Gralka, and Maurice Koch. The workshop received a notable number of submissions and saw strong attendance with roughly 40 participants.
