DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nSprecher\n\n\nAnke Brock \n\nHuman-Computer Interaction, Inria Bordeaux, France\n\n\n\n\nTitel\n\n\n\nAugmented reality and tangible interaction for accessibility\n\n\n\n\n \n\nAugmented reality (overlaying digital information on the real world) and tangible interaction\n(interaction with the digital world through the use of physical objects) have obtained a lot of\nattention in Human-Computer Interaction in the past years. However, in the field of Assistive\nTechnology they have less often been employed and thus many questions remain unanswered. In this\ntalk I will present some projects in which we have made use of these technologies, mainly for\nmaking geographic maps accessible to visually impaired people. \nShort bio\nAnke Brock is Assistant Professor in Human-Computer Interaction at Inria Bordeaux, France.\nPreviously, she has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at IRIT Toulouse, France, and has obtained a PhD\n(2013) and a Master's Degree (2010) in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Toulouse.\nBefore this, Dr. Brock has worked as an Engineer in Research & Development at Bosch\n(Hildesheim, Germany), working on navigation systems and driver assistance systems. She also holds\nan engineering diploma in Information Technology from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State\nUniversity (Stuttgart, Germany, 2004).
