The Visualization Research Center (VISUS) is a central institution of the University of Stuttgart. About 30 scientists research in different areas of Scientific Visualization, Visual Analytics, Visual Computing and Computer Graphics, as well as interdisciplinary, applied research. The latter results in a very close co-operation with non-visualization disciplines of the University of Stuttgart.

High resolution projection in the Visualization Laboratory

VISUS owns a large-area projection screen that is able to display about 88 million pixel on an area of 6 meter width and 2 meter height.

This powerwall is used for large-scaled high resolution images in 2D and 3D for research issues.
